Not many know that Agyaat, a thriller about a film unit shooting in the dense jungles, has been partially inspired from RGV's experiences while shooting Jungle.
Jungle was shot at Bandipur Forest reserve in Karnataka. The unit was put up at a resort far away from the dense forest.
It seems while shooting for the film, few people in the unit got a sensation of being watched by some one while they were alone.
"One of the girls in the unit had lost her way for half day and she came back and just couldn't talk anything. She refused to stay in the jungle even for a day. She came back to Mumbai that very day," Varma said.
"We couldn't exactly pin point what it was but few people clearly felt it. They would get a feeling of being followed even when they would walk alone. Few people thought it is para normal presence, few
people thought may be a wild animal. And few even thought it was be Veerappan’s men keeping a watch on us," Varma adds.
This dramatic experience was later developed in to Agyaat by RGV.
RGV's next based on a true story Agyaat is reportedly inspired by Varma's own experiences

Genelia to repeat Jaane Tu... act The actress is even doing another Pappu... song in her film Life Partner
Genelia's forthcoming film Life Partner sees the actress reprising the shades of her character in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
According to a press release, Life Partner too revolves around a bunch of friends with the focus being on Genelia.
About similarities between the two characters, Genelia said, "I was really surprised and was telling everyone in Life Partner that it might look planned. I am very excited and looking forward for the release of Life Partner, it is almost one year and I have had no release."
Genelia has also revisited her popular number Pappu Can't Dance. Apparently while shooting for a song from Life Partner, everyone kept reminding Genelia about he popularity of the Pappu song.
Genelia later requested the choreographers to include the Pappu step. They were a little hesitant but understood her sentiments and let Fardeen Khan and her dance to the step.
The song in question is called Teri Meri Ye Zindagi and has been picturised on the couple during their honeymoon in the film.
I am the Kamina in Kaminey: Gupte
Scriptwriter-director Amol Gupte, who plays a villain in Vishal Bharadwaj's forthcoming thriller Kaminey, says he has no problems being touted as the biggest 'kamina' (rogue).
On a more serious note, he says he discovered his mean side from failures in life just like his character in the movie.
"Essentially Kaminey is a kind of metaphor for meanness and it has its shades for the characters in the film. Even in the contest Sabse Bada Kamina Kaun to promote the film, I am being touted as the biggest 'kamina' (rogue) and I don't mind that," said Gupte.
"I take it completely in my stride as I've tried to discover my mean side from massive amount of failures just like Bhopey, my character in the movie. The essence of the meanness quotient is what you'll find in my character. His emotions are on a gallop and he is a dangerous man. He has got multiple shades," he said.
Gupte came to the limelight for penning the critically acclaimed 2008 movie Taare Zameen Par. Initially, Gupte was directing the film, but Aamir Khan later took over the reins and debuted as a director with the movie about a dyslexic child.
Asked if he had to undergo any research for his screen comeback, he said: "Thirty years of cinema study has got me a good experience and that is exactly the form of R&D that has gone from my side into the film."
Also starring Shahid Kapur in a double role along with Priyanka Chopra, Kaminey releases on Aug 14. In the crime thriller, Gupte will be seen as Priyanka's elder brother who is a small-time gangster and later turns into a rogue politician.
Being a director himself, Gupte revealed he had no problems following Bharadwaj's instructions.
"You have to see what position you are taking while you are on the sets of a movie. If I'm on the sets as a director, I'd like my actors to be fully committed to the project... I gave the same position to Vishal. I exploited myself as an actor and he did so in direction," said Gupte.
The writer-director was also all praise for Shahid and Priyanka.
"They are extremely dedicated and have no ego issues with anyone. I never saw them disappearing to their vanity vans after a shot, unlike other actors... that shows their commitment," he said.
"Kaminey is a caper which is galloping on the first gear at a 100-km- per-hour speed. Come and have fun, it's full of energy," he added.
Gupte's brush with acting is not new. Not many know that he has acted in National Award-winning film Chakar Chandu Ka Chameli Wala (1982), Ketan Mehta's Holi (1984) and Dayal Nihalani's Guru Dakshina (1986) apart from starring in numerous student films for the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).
"As a student of cinema I've kept facing the camera till 1993. I used to work at Rs 30 per day. I spent most of my time in FTII either watching world cinema or in the canteen or under the wisdom tree, where I sat for 12 years," he said.
Gupte also hosted a talk show for Sony called Bindaas Bol in the 1990s. He is a man of many talents -- apart from acting and writing, he is also a painter and musician.
Asked if he would continue with acting, he joked: "I'm not here to promote myself as an actor but ya...if (Quentin) Tarantino comes down..."
Gupte is now set to wield the megaphone for Sapno Ko Ginte Ginte - a children's film written by him.

Rimi Sen on her role in Sankat City
Bong beauty Rimi Sen is looking toward her upcoming Pankaj Advani directed Moserbaer adn Seven Entmt flick Sankat City. Here are excerpts of her chit chat with the media on the same.
What is your character in Sankat City ?
I play a tomboyish con woman in Sankat City. She loves to use street terms such as” Of Teri Ma Ki. “ My character called Mona teams up
with Guru( Kay Kay Menon) to pull some scheme which blows up on our face and we land up in a soup. Dilip Prabhavalkar, Anupam Kher and Chunkey Pandey are the other important cast in this Moserbaer and Seven Entertainment production.
What attracted you towards this film?
I always like a strong script which Sankat city has .Each and every character has meaning and depth. And I am the only woman in the set
up.
Does the film have lots of romance?
Nahi there is not much love rather we all are around trying to pull a fast on everybody else. Sankat City is a dark comic satire on city life.
Everybody is talking about the garbage dump shoot ?
Yes it was quite tough. The whole place was quite huge with mounds and mounds of solid waste. The stench was unbearable and we even had to eat there. Other actor’s could at least wear surgical masks, but I could not due to make up. At the end we all rushed home to bathe. This is one experience ,which I will not forget in a hurry.
How is the music of Sankat City ?
The music is pretty interesting and foot tapping. Music director Ranjit Barot has ably used the voices of Sukhvinder and Roop Kumar Rathod.
Working with Kay Kay Menon?
A very good actor, but more then that he comes across as a warm hearted individual . We got along very well.
And Director Pankaj Avani?
With Sankat City, Pankaj has proved that he is not only a good writer (Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na) but an able director as well. He has really shaped the film well. I wish him all the best.
What next ?
I am playing 160 kg woman in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s upcoming film, Show Man. Govinda, Celina Jaitley and Harish(Prem Qaidi are my co star’s in this flick. I hardly got time to shoot as most of my shift hours went in putting and removing my make up. Besides this I am doing a small role in my manger’s debut production Shagird This film is also directed by Tigmanshu.

Himesh Reshammiya’s Kajraare to be a Diwali release
Himesh Reshammiya’s third film as an actor Kajraare, a T-Series’ production is all set to be a Diwali release. Directed by actress Pooja Bhatt the film stars opposite Himesh, Pakistani actress Mona Laizza apart from Amrita Singh and Gulshan Grover. The release date for the film is scheduled as October 16th. But on the same day two more biggies are slated for release, thats Hrithik Roshan - Barbara Mori - Kangana Ranaut starrer Kites and Ajay Devgan’s home production All The Best staring Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse along with Ajay himself.
Kajraare is supposedly, a modernised remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Pooja Bhatt-Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak. But this move to release it on Diwali day seems no less than a hara-kiri claims trade pundits. Himesh began his acting career with a bang with a musical hit like Aap Ka Surroor but his next release, the Karz remake titled Karzzzz was a big turkey at the ticket window. His Kajraare was to release much earlier but reportedly, the on going recession took toll on it and the schedules kept getting pushed ahead. Now as its nearing completion, the makers are planning for a Diwali release. But with big mega budget oppositions like Kites and All The Best, we just hope the makers give the release date a rethink or else Himesh might have to work harder to prove himself yet again as an actor.
